Vietnam is entering a new stage of development with the objective of maintaining high and sustainable economic growth in the coming years. In this context, mobilizing medium- and long-term capital through the corporate bond market plays an important role in supporting corporate investment and business expansion.
This is becoming increasingly important as Vietnam’s bank credit-to-GDP ratio has reached a relatively high level, posing potential risks to the financial system. At the same time, the banking sector is strengthening its risk management practices and capital buffers in line with international standards, with the aim of moving toward Basel III implementation by 2030.
