Our Story

FiinRatings - a strategic partner of S&P Global - is a credit rating agency licensed by the Vietnam Ministry of Finance and one of the pioneers in promoting transparency and sustainability in Vietnam’s capital markets. We provide independent credit rating services for domestic corporates to support efficient and well-informed capital-raising activities. FiinRatings also offers risk research, in-depth credit analysis, and green bond verification in accordance with international standards such as ICMA and the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI), thereby enabling investors to assess risks and make well-rounded investment decisions.

Leadership

Nguyen Quang Thuan, FCCA

Executive Chairman & CEO

Co-founder of FiinGroup and FiinRatings. Previously, he was an Investment Analyst at Vietnam Holding Asset Management Ltd and a manager at Deals Service of PwC in Vietnam and Sydney, Australia. He holds a master’s degree in banking & finance from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and is a fellow member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”).

Ritesh Maheshwari

Board Member

He has over 30 years of experience in Asia–Pacific capital markets, credit ratings, and strategy development. He led the establishment of S&P Global (China) Ratings and currently serves on the Boards of TRIS Ratings (Thailand), Taiwan Ratings Corp., RAM Holdings (Malaysia), and PEFINDO (Indonesia).

Sarat Sattiraju

Board Member

He is a seasoned strategy leader with substantial experience in international financial services and credit ratings. He previously served as Chief of Staff to the CEO at CRISIL and held various senior leadership roles at S&P Global Ratings. He was a member of the APAC Executive Committee.

Nguyen Huu Hieu, MBA

Board Member

Previously, he worked as a Governance Advisor in the Department for International Development of UK (DFID), Public Sector Development Officer at IFC (World Bank) and Consulting Manager at PwC Vietnam.

Vu Thi Hoan

Board Member

As a financial manager, making and analyzing financial plans of FiinGroup and FiinRatings, Ms. Hoan has been dedicated to the company since the early days of its establishment. She always ensures that the financial apparatus operates smoothly, helping FiinGroup and FiinRatings keep afloat in the market.

Do Ngoc Quynh

Strategic Advisor

He has served as General Secretary of the Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA) since 2009. He also holds independent, non-executive board positions at several enterprises. Previously, he served as Deputy General Director of SOVICO Group, Chairman of HDCAPITAL Fund Management Company (2022–2023), and Chief Executive Officer of VNDirect Securities (2020–2022). Earlier in his career, he accumulated 22 years of experience (1997–2019) at BIDV Head Office, holding various roles including money market and treasury functions, CEO of BIDV International (Hong Kong), and Head of Treasury and Capital Markets.
