Corporate credit ratings play an increasingly important role in the credit granting activities of credit institutions, helping credit institutions have information to evaluate their financial situation, ability to repay debt as well as the risks of businesses independently rated in credit risk management and investment in debt instruments.

In order to provide credit institutions with in-depth information about independent credit rating activities from international and Vietnamese practices, experience and effectiveness from implementation in other countries, through which Vietnamese credit institutions better manage risks in credit granting activities, the Vietnam Banks Association in collaboration with S&P Global Ratings and FiinRatings co-organized a workshop with the topic "The role of credit ratings in credit risk management in Vietnam ”.
